Bookkeeper Kyra White has made a career of getting dumped by her boyfriends. After getting dumped yet again in a very public way by the current one, she decides to make some changes in her life. Kyra sets out to remake herself from head to toe. From changing her mousy long brown hair into a short pixie blonde style, to trading in her ultra conservative wardrobe for a fresh, fun, short and tight new one, Kyra is determined to turn herself into a stunning beauty that all the men want to be with.

Little does she know that her best friend Michael Romero has secretly lusted after her for years. His feelings only intensify with her new show-off look. His jealousy is about to intensify too along with the fact that every available men are now throwing themselves Kyra's way. How will Michael ever convince her that he is the one that is perfect for her? Should he risk a beautiful friendship for what could be their once in a lifetime happily ever after?

Once again Tori Carrington has created a story that literally explodes off the page. The characters are ones that the readers can identify with right from the start. The friends to lovers theme is a favorite of mine and Ms. Carrington has handled it beautifully in this book.

Skin Deep is a page turner and has Ms. Carrington's trademark characterization and depth of story line along with the steamy sizzle one has come to expect from a book bearing the Tori Carrington name. Each new book by this author seems destined to become my favorite and Skin Deep now tops the list! I can't wait to see how she can top this one - and luckily my wait won't be long because Ms. Carrington's next Blaze, Every Move You Make, should be out by the time this review gets posted.
