Octavia Fleming has it all; a great, incredibly handsome husband, three wonderful kids, two of which are twins, a very successful career. She also has a somewhat overbearing father; some people believe he has an unhealthy love for his only daughter. When she discovers Tom had an affair, her world comes apart at the seams. Miscommunications lead Octavia down a very dangerous path. Tomís affair affects everyone Octavia loves and cares for.

Tom Fleming has admitted his affair to Octavia, but he refuses to tell her with whom. He knows she would be devastated to learn who the woman was. When his successful career starts heading south, he fears it is Octavia who is causing it. He has never gotten along well with Octaviaís father; he thinks Octavia and her father are behind all of the damaging occurrences of his business. He needs to do some detective work to find out who is trying to destroy him and his family, before he loses everything.

Tom and Octavia will need to work together even though they distrust each other in order to uncover who is behind all the problems they are dealing with. Octavia will have to brace herself when she learns who the woman was who slept with her husband. Tom will have to decide if his marriage is worth saving.

An immensely emotional book, the reader will not want the book to end. Greed, mistrust, misconceptions, a woman scorned, vengeance, healing, forgiveness, and hope all play an important role in this family saga. The author, Penny Vincenzi knows what her readers want. Highly recommend!
