Oh those Suzanne Brockmann guys! Strong, sensitive and oh so sexy, thereís plenty of them prowling the pages of this novel, just waiting for us readers to topple into lust with them. Taking pride of place in this book is John Nilsson, US Navy SEAL, who gets an unusual call. The woman he fell hard for several years ago has just taken hostages in a Washington DC Embassy.

If youíre new to Suzanne Brockmannís wonderful romances, you may be a little confused by the change of scenery and the number of stories that occur with regularity. Several pieces of action are taking place simultaneously, involving people within the main plot line. Each story provides a counterpoint of sorts to the others, and my only complaint is that just as I get to a really good point in one story, I get switched to another! There are a couple of places where the tension in the tale was so great I nearly screamed! Thatís how involved a reader can get with these people; whether listening to a tale of love played out in pre-war Britain, watching two highly qualified professionals tumble into an absurdly passionate love affair, or chewing our fingernails along with the hostage, this is a spellbinding book with great depth and scope.

Navy SEALS Team Sixteen is featured prominently, and many characters are recurring throughout Ms. Brockmannís works. I do not know which book was published first, I have been reading them as I find them and loving each and every one. However, a little research would probably pay off, allowing the reader to start at the very beginning with this amazing squad of testosterone-laden hunks!

This book has all the best ingredients: a passionate romance, an edge-of-your-seat suspense novel, and a wistful love story. Please pick it up and add it to your collection.
