Bliss River is the place to go if you want to live a life of pure hedonism and debauchery. A place where anything and everything goes. Bliss River Valley is also the only home that Georgiana Maitland has ever known, and she is desperate to leave.

Enter Charles Elliott, polo teacher and horse trader. He has his own reasons for coming to the Valley, and they donít all have to do with business. Charlesís mother left him and his father for dead and ran off with her lover when he was a child. Now he was back looking for revenge. He was not prepared for what he found.

I am not going to bore you with anymore details about this story. The only things I can say is donít waste your time or your money. The characters are flat, unsympathetic and unappealing. The sex was tepid and the dialogue stilted. The only thing hot in this book was the desert. At one point, I just wanted them both to get lost in the desert never to be found. Unfortunately, Charles Elliott is half-Syrian and knew his way out.

I am very disappointed in this latest offering by Ms. Devine. I hope that her next book is better, but I wonít be the one reading it to find out.
