Never a Lady is another wonderful story written by Jacquie Dí Alessandro, who never fails to provide an enchanting tale that captives her readers. In Never A Lady Colin Oliver, Viscount Sutton has come to London to find a bride; a task for which he has little enthusiasm. However, Colin has been getting premonitions of his own death and wish to be married before they come true. When Colin runs into Madame Alexandra Larchmont telling fortunes at a party Colin is believes he has found his future wife. However, Alexandra has a few secrets of her own and no desire to wed. However, when she overhears a plot to murder a high ranking official Alexandra has no choice but to seek out Colin for his help. Embroiled in the mist of a treasonous plot Alexandra and Colin must stop the murder before it is too late.

Never a Lady is a fast paced and sweet romance that once again puts the author at the top of the historical romance to be read list. The story continues the legacy of the Oliver brothers and the reader gets to catch up with characters from her previous novel. Colin is a strong willed hero who carries a lot go guilt for events that were not his fault. Alexandra has had a difficult life and is surprisingly pragmatic for the times. Her determination and spunk make her a very enjoyable character. The plot has a very surprising twist at the end and I dare any reader to figure out the villain in this novel. It was a complete shock to me! Donít you love a good surprise ending? If you love historical romance with a dash of suspense and pinch of humor than Never A Lady is a must read and will find a home on your keeper shelf.
