Controlling the largest vampire territory in North America has not only made Don Raphael Perez one of the most feared vampires in the world, but also one of the most hunted. Raphael has lost many in his life, and he is determined that even if he finds the one meant for him he will not turn her for fear that she will go mad as so many other women have while going through the conversion. What he was not expecting after seven centuries was to meet veterinarian Grania O’Malley, a woman who not only made him feel again but also a woman who was his match in every way but one. She was mortal.

Grania is instantly attracted to Raphael, but being a veterinarian, she is able to understand that while men in this day and age have lost most of their archaiac presidence towards violence there are still predators in the world. And Raphael is the perfect example of a predator ready to pounce at any moment. They burn each other with not only fiery touches but steaming glances. For an innocent like Grania this is a new and wonderous time for her. For the scientist in her, a whole new world has opened up and she can’t wait to experience it.

Unfortunately for Raphael and Grania danger is lurking around the corner. Raphael has always known that he had powerful enemies that would do anything to take him down and take his territory, as well as use anyone against him that they could. Now he has to protect not only himself, but Grania. For the danger has arrived, old enemies are back and they are willing to take the one thing that Raphael wants more than the world, the one thing that can make him whole again. And the one thing that he would willingly die to protect.

As the first book in her new Vampire trilogy, Diane Whiteside makes a gigantic splash with Bond of Blood. Filling the pages with sizzling sexuality and stunningly decandent scenes, Bond of Blood will have the reader enthralled from the beginning of the story. I couldn’t put this book down. Raphael is a true alpha male, but he does have faults and fears which makes him a more believable character. It also helps that he is a gorgeously delicious vampire with the sex drive of the energizer bunny (something to make every red-blooded woman stand up and shout!). Grania is the perfect match for him in every way; determined, smart and deadly in her own right, Grania doesn’t back down from fight. I absolutely loved this story. Not only does it have sexy vampires and sex scene’s that will make you need a cold shower, but it also has danger and intrigue to add some sizzle and spice.
