Helga was a valkyrie on vacation in Ireland. Work had been sparse for the valkyrie lately, but Odin liked to keep his girls ready for action. Her visit made quite an least it had on Brendon.

Brendon was accustomed to feeling out of place. In a family of leprechauns he was huge. He was the largest in the world, in fact. The fairies didn’t want anything to do with him. They considered him an oddity, and as such Brendon had only a bit of experience with the opposite sex. Consequently, when a female closer to his height attacked him by jumping out of a tree, Brendon was knocked off his feet, in more ways than one. He quickly became smitten with the valkyrie. He hoped to find help in wooing Helga from her traveling buddies: Thor, Balder, and Loki.

Helga was smitten, too. Brendon, aside from being handsome and sexy, was the sweetest man she’d ever met. She appreciated being treated kindly and with gentleness as much as the next woman, but when it came to love play...Helga’s passion was intense and she wanted a man to match her sexual proclivity. She certainly hadn’t expected to be disappointed after her and Brendon's first clandestine meeting. What she heard and what she had seen so far of Brendon were not comparable. He told her leprechauns were a peace loving people and that is why he would not react to Thor’s begging for a fight. Helga had no idea Loki had advised Brendon to act amiable, as that was her favorite attribute in a man. All of this led Helga to believe she and Brendon were complete opposites.

Brendon felt discouraged until he ran into Balder, who spilled the beans about Loki’s practical joke. Then Brendon was done playing Mr. Nice Guy. It was time to show the Valhalla people what the world’s largest leprechaun from the land of magic was capable of.

Kate Hill has penned a steamy fantasy that is both whimsical and enchanting at the same time. She takes well-known mythical figures to create a sensual feast for the senses. Helga is a strong heroine looking for her equal in a mate. Brendon is a hero strong enough to take Helga on while sufficiently charming the reader as well. Be aware that mild BDSM is involved in Bound and Becharmed.
