The Bachelor Trap is the second in Ms. Thornotn's Trap series. This time it's Brands turn to get caught up in the trap!

It was only a small thing, or so it seemed at the time, but in later years, Brand would laugh and say that from that moment on, his life changed irreversibly. That was the night Lady Marion Dane stubbed her toes. Marion and her sister were his guests, making up a party in his box at the theater. They hadnít known each other long, only a month, but he knew far more about her than she realized. He and her late aunt, Edwina Gunn, had been friends, and from time to time Edwina had mentioned her sisterís family who lived near Keswick in the Lake District. In the last few weeks, heíd made it his business to find out as much as he could about Lady Marion Dane.

Little did Brand realize, but with Marion lies a decades old secret that may just cost Marion her life if he doesn't get to the bottom of the mystery. Being a newspaper man, he knows what to do, but can he figure out who is behind some mysterious murders before it's too late?

This is fun, fast read. Ms. Thornton is one of the best story tellers in the historical, romance genre. All of her characters are wonderfully written and her attention to detail is second to none.

Brand and Marion are a perfect foil for each other, if they can stop arguing long enough to figure that out! lol The secondary characters only add to the story and make for the beginnings of another book, if Ms. Thornton turns in that direction.

For a wonderful, romantic read, you can't go wrong with The Bachelor Trap. And be sure to pick up The Marriage Trap, which is the first book in the series, that's what I did. I hate reading a series in the middle! lol

Happy reading!!
