Ms. Bach’s second book is just as great a read as her first, Lone Rider; a definite page turner that keeps you reading in just one sitting! Her characters are vivid, the plot suspensful, the emotions sizzling.

Freedom, Arkansas is a small town in the south where all its residents either love it or hate it; there’s no in-between. Alec Dempsey was one of those that hated it, and he had left everything behind ten years prior, to escape the clutches of a town he knew would never feel like home. After a stint in the army, a fulfilling career with the ATF (Alchohol, Tobacco, Firearms), he’s now been called on to help the FBI with a undercover case that involves returning to Freedom and the past he left behind. Alec’s past carries a haunting guilt, one he’s not willing to face: the girl he left behind when he walked away ten years ago. But when the FBI tells him that her life is in danger and she’ll be targeted by the ex-con who nearly killed her five years ago, Alec knows he has no other choice but to agree to the FBI’s plans and go back to protect her. He knows facing his past, facing her, will be the hardest thing he’s ever done.

Kiera Morgan has made a successful career with her own General Contracting business and is now content with her life in Freedom. She’s carried the scars of Alec’s desertion deep inside, safely tucked away for ten years, and she’s not ready to face the painful memories when Alec is forced back into her life. She’s determined history won’t repeat itself. No matter what emotions Alec stirs in her, Kiera is ready to fight to keep that hard-earned independence from any emotional entanglements with a man who had once swore he loved her but had left her behind.

This fast paced story keeps the action coming with one thing after another, as Kiera’s life is threatened. Alec is as determined to keep her safe as Kiera is to keep him at arms length.

But it’s just a matter of time before their volatile emotions and feelings for each other erupts into a passion far stronger than it was in the past; leaving them both wondering how either will survive when the time comes for Alec to leave again.

Will Kiera be strong enough to let Alec walk away once again? Will Alec have the courage to face his past demons and find a way to make their separate worlds blend? Will the passion raging between them lead to love everlasting once again, or will it bring a heartache far worse than either can stand?

Ms. Bach’s love story sizzles with sexual tension and erotic love scenes that could scorch the pages of the book. She has a wonderful talent of bringing out the emotions of the heroine and hero to the maximum, making the story all the more sizzling. She has found a devoted fan with this reader, who will eagerly look forward to future books. A highly recommended book for lovers of the Romantic Suspense genre.
