As summer is approaching readers are looking for those vacation time reads. Summer to me means a joyful carefree time, and what better genre to read than romantic comedy? Author Lisa Plumley is one of the shining stars of romantic comedy, and her new title Mad About Max is sure to bring a chuckle to romance readers everywhere.

Max Nolan and Lucy Logan are both business people, but there any comparison between the two must stop. Max is conservative, and follows what many believe to be traditional business practices. He is the front man, who charms the potential investors, and his partner Oliver is the geek who brings it all together once the investors are lined up.

Lucy is the manager of a charity clothing shop called Successfully Dressed. While not the person who originally conceived the idea the shop has quickly become her baby, and she will staunchly defend how she and her friends, Nieca and Franco run the business.

When Lucy and Max accidentally meet sparks fly, but not necessarily of the romantic variety! Max wants some suits that his ex-girlfriend donated to Lucy’s shop, and will stop at almost nothing to get them back. To find out the extremes he will go to get his lucky suit back you’ll have to read Mad About Max for yourself.

Lucy and Max fight, love, and live to fight and love another day. I don’t think readers would have been happy if either character totally compromised themselves for the other, but believe that they will find the conclusion of Mad About Max to be more than satisfying.
