Sara-Jayne (SJ) is a killing machine. Since her first killing at the tender age of seventeen, SJ completes her assigned hits without hesitation, thought, or emotion. Especially since most of the hits she is given by the CIA are towards the dregs of society, murderers, rapists, and drug dealers. However, for some reason SJ hesitated during her last hit. That hesitation will affect the rest of SJ's life.

Dane knew that SJ was the woman for him after the first time he heard her voice. He does what he can to bring them together, even if it means his death. Though he tries to give SJ time to come to terms with their connection, he will show SJ the new world he has in store for her no matter her resistance.

Its been a long time since Ive had the time to read anything, even something from Sherri L. King. Thank goodness, I took the time to do so with Ferocious. SJ is a tortured soul, yet she is my type of heroine, hard-assed and determined. Due to a horrific childhood, SJ tries to maintain a distance from the world. Sure shes lonely and feels like her life is nothing but the job, which keeps her from being let down or hurt again. Dane is strong-willed, determined, and...different. Hes the usual alpha male one has come to expect from Ms. King. He can force our heroine into doing what he wants with a finesse that will keep her from knowing it. With the sex, action, sex, romance, sex, and even the paranormal that is pure Sherri L. King, this book shows why she is still an auto-buy author for me!
