Rose Carson flees London to escape the unwanted attentions of her guardian Jack Devereaux. Eventually she finds herself alone in the wilds of an exotic land in search of her brother.

She is subsequently abducted by a tribe of “uncouth” bandits who believe her to be their Queen. In order to escape torture and certain death Rose must surrender herself to the dashing Leo Davenport a fellow European and captive.

Leo Davenport finds himself among a strange tribe and is instantly entranced by their Queen, the lovely “Moon Princess”, Rose. He agrees to help spare both their lives but first he offers a dangerous condition.

Rose is captivated by the golden beauty of Leo,but fears losing her honor and dignity in the process of surrendering all to him. Leo is willing to risk life and limb to protect the fair Rose but needs her love in return.

The struggle between natural attraction and self will and other very human dangers make this novella my pick for an engaging read. Helen Highwater has woven a romantic tale of circumstance and love that every romance reader is sure to appreciate.
