Sinjun, St. John Thornton, Marquis of Derby was forced to marry Scottish heiress, Christy Flora Macdonald, by the King's order when he was fourteen. His bride, Christy, was only seven at that time and the only thing Sinjun remembered was Christy kicked him twice at his shins during the ceremony.

Fifteen years later, Sinjun is known as Lord Sin, the master of seduction, because of his womanising ways and his numerous mistresses. He is looking for a new mistress when he meets Lady Flora, who is Christy in disguise, at a ball. He is smitten with Christy's beauty at first sight and must claim her as his own immediately.

Christy has her own agenda in this affair. She becomes the Laird of the clans after the death of her grandfather and enjoys the freedom of being a married woman without a husband's control. But Calum Cameron, Chieftain of Clan Cameron, wants her land and power and forces Christy to seek an annulment from her unconsummated marriage so she can marry Calum instead. Christy doesn't want to comply and plans a trip to London to trick Sin into consummating their marriage and giving her a child.

Everything goes according to Christy's plan... but the last thing she wants to do is fall in love with her own husband.

A Taste of Sin is the first book in Connie Mason's Sins Series following with A Breath of Scandal and A Touch So Wicked. The book is quite entertaining and leads you through a merry chase between England and Scotland via Sinjun and Christy. An enjoyable and entertaining read with plenty of love and sensual scenes that leave you breathless.
