Bounty hunter Dante Giovanni is approached by millionaire Gary Vandergriff and asked to rescue his estranged daughter. He accepts the job, figuring it can’t be too difficult to kidnap a spoiled rich girl. Gary explains that Nadia’s stepfather is a major drug dealer with many enemies as well as a very abusive husband.

When Dante first meets Nadia he’s immediately attracted to her and realizes she’s not at all what he was expecting. When an attempt is made on her life, he’s there to rescue her, giving him an opportunity to meet her father Nick. Impressed with Dante’s skill in saving his daughter, Nick offers Dante a job as her bodyguard, while also warning him to keep his hands off.

As soon as the first opportunity presents itself, Dante steals her away and reunites her with her birth father. Almost immediately he realizes the huge mistake he’s made and almost pays with his life while attempting to free her.

Ms. Perry delivers another impressive romantic suspense with In Enemy Hands. The action is almost non-stop and both characters are more than sufficiently developed in order for us to understand why they feel and act the way they do. If you are in the mood for a thrilling romance with characters you can’t help but adore, then this book is a must read. I'm certainly hoping some of the secondary characters will get their own book in the future.
