Rachel Storm has it all. A great job, an even greater apartment, and a decent paycheck. She also has an overbearing mother hell-bent on seeing her married at all costs. Rachel has no plans to marry. She likes her life the way it is, but her mother won't let it rest.
When her sister announces her wedding, the little white lie Rachel told her family about her "fiance" blows up in her face. Now she has to find a fiance by the weekend or face the wrath of the wedding nazi.
Doug, the impossibly good looking gay guy from the office, seems like the obvious choice.
There's just one little problem with her plan - Doug isn't gay. And he plans to spend the entire weekend trying to get Rachel into his bed.
REALITY CHECK is chock full of twists, turns, and some truths. Rachel's feelings are suppressed so she can deal with her overly emotional family. Now that's earned her the nickname Ice Princess. Doug is determined to prove that theory wrong. He knows Rachel isn't made of ice, she very much a warm-blooded woman.
When they they finally come together, the results are not only steaming hot and but turn out to be heart warming.
Elisa Adams never surprises me with her ability to bring her characters to life and make you fall in love with them. She's made this story exceptional.
