Lachlain MacRieve, King of the Lykae, has waited an eternity to find his destined mate. Lachlain finds her in his darkest hour and when he finally meets her he is both overjoyed and enraged because his mate turns out to be part vampire, a race that he is mortal enemies with. Lachlain doesnít know if he will be able to let go of his rage towards the vampires enough to fully embrace his destiny with his mate. And he finds it harder and harder to hold on to his hatred when faced with his mateís sweetness.

Emmaline Troy is in Paris in search of the identity of her vampire father when a man takes her hostage. The man is in fact a Lykae who claims that he needs her help to reach his home. But Emmaline comes to realize that Lachlain wants more from her then a ride to his home and what he wants may just tear her life apart.

A Hunger Like No Other was a divine treat to read and had me unable to put it down. Emmaline and Lachlain were wonderfully written and really come alive. I love that Emmaline started out being timid and that her love for Lachlain allowed her to grow into the person she was meant to be. Another aspect I greatly enjoyed was how Emmaline was able to tame the wilder urges of Lachlain and the consuming love they had for one another. Kresley Cole is a fantastic writer thatís created such fascinating characters that readers will take to their hearts and want to find out more about them. Kresley Cole has won me over and I very much look forward to reading more of her work.
