Hide In Plain sight by Michelle Albert is the story of Fiona Kennedy-McMahon and Griffin (Grif) Laughton. This is the last book in the “loosely-connected series” that began with Getting Her Man.

Fiona Kennedy-McMahon is a woman whose husband has been recently declared dead after being missing for five years. She always felt he would come back but when he didn’t, she decided to get on with her life! She lives in Los Angeles and is an antique book seller with her own business. One rainy day, she’s daydreaming about her Bahamas vacation, where she’s hoping to break away and have a short, hot affair, in her shop and gets a visit from not one but two utterly gorgeous men within a short time frame! The second one asks for her help in determining if a newly discovered Christopher Marlowe manuscript is the real thing or a forgery. She’s very leery at first, due in part to her painful past, but it’s a Marlowe! She has studied Marlowe most of her life and knows everything there is to know about him! When Fiona agrees to help, she has no clue what she’s getting herself into but it doesn’t take long for her to find out!

Griffin (Grif) Laughton is a mercenary for Avalon, a top secret company that seeks out and retrieves stolen art objects, among other things. He needs Fiona’s help but can’t tell her the real reason why. They need to use her, and the manuscript, to try and draw out a villain Avalon has been attempting to capture for years…..and possibly someone from Fiona’s past! However, once he’s in her bed, he doesn’t like the idea of using her but he really doesn’t have a choice especially since it seems all the players are in place in Los Angeles. Now if he can just keep the manuscript and Fiona safe, he’ll be happy!

Michelle Albert has done it again! She’s written an exciting read-on-the-edge-of-your-seat book that keeps you guessing. I’ve read every one of this author’s books and she has yet to disappoint me. If you’re a fan of romantic suspense, do yourself a huge favor and pick up any of Ms. Albert’s books!
