I laughed through this entire book. That basically says it all. The author combines a great plot, great characters and an abundance of humor to make a wonderful, thoroughly entertaining story.

Charlotte Notting (Charlie) and Julian Ash (Jules) are incredible. From the start you’re drawn into their story and eager to find out what obstacles the path of love will be strewn with. You’re even more eager to watch as they bypass these obstacles.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to learn that author, Allison Rushby, actually knew two such people as Charlie and Jules. It’s rare to read two characters who are so perfect for each other and so well developed. By the time their story was finished, I felt as if I’d known them my whole life, and that knowing them I was a happier person. Sappy? Yes, but true none the less. These are truly characters who get to you and this is one of the few romances where I’d be thrilled if there were a sequel continuing Charlie and Jules’ story. I’ll be wondering what became of them for some time to come.

No Beer In Hawaii comes in twelve installments, as it is an online serial. And let me tell you, after you finish an installment you’re going to be impatiently waiting for the next to arrive. Ms. Rushby, has a knack for stopping things at just that point where you’re ready to scream, “She can’t do that to me!!!”.

Do I recommend this book? You bet your shnitzel I do! And as this is a FREE online serial, I’m sure beer drinkers and non beer drinkers alike will soon be singing the praises of Allison Rushby’s tale, if they aren’t already.
