Beautiful people with fabulous careers and pots of money living on an exotic island and having marvelous sex!! Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well of course it is – but the chance to experience something like this, even vicariously, is what makes the romance novel so appealing. And if you would like to wander into this atmosphere, which is fragrant with Chanel, Armani and very good leather, then this is the book for you.

Professor Madison Evans has been badly burned at love. Antonio Gates has inadvertently burned somebody badly at love!! Are these two damaged souls destined for each other? Absolutely!! And they meet during Madison’s summer getaway – she rents a cottage from Mamma Lou, Antonio’s grandmother, on their large estate, which is part of an island off the East Coast. Luxurious and elegant, Madison feels that she will be able to work on her book, and focus on her future in such idyllic surroundings. Then she meets Antonio.

Antonio is used to his grandmother lining up prospective mates for him during the summer – she wants him to be happy and can’t stand Laine Herrington, who fully intends to be Mrs. Antonio Gates by the end of the summer. The Gates name is synonymous with fine antiques, auctions, and gazillions of dollars!! Not to mention a body to die for!!! So he views the arrival of this “teacher” with minimal interest – until he gets a good look at her and every one of his testosterone laden hormones gets out of its seat and cheers. Loudly! From then on, it’s a dance between Antonio and Madison. Will she? Will he? Will they? Do they? Is it good for you too?

Of course, misunderstandings occur – nobody told Antonio that his “teacher” is a renowned historian, author, and archeological expert. Nobody told Madison that Laine is a conniving little liar who’ll invent anything to get her way! But it’s clear that they are both suffering from the same problem – love! How they handle it, adjust to it, deal with it, and surrender to it is the heart of this novel, and it’s fun to watch. This book is your ticket to an exotic getaway with lovely rich people – it’s fun – a nice mini-vacation from real life!
