Alexa Cheltingham may have been born to wealth and privilege, but she has had a few setbacks in her life. An enthusiastic rider, Alexa was just beginning her show career when a car accident left her minus part of one leg. This did not keep her from riding again.

The Gotham Rose organization has need of someone with Alexa’s qualifications on their latest mission. Someone is sabotaging the current crop of equestrian champions by targeting the horses. Alexa is put in undercover as a groom to not only find the criminal, but to protect the multi-million dollar investment in horseflesh.

Since her disability is well-known in horse-y circles, Alexa must work hard to keep it a secret. Especially from Ross Hardel, her boss and former riding class companion. He is either on the hit-list or the mastermind behind all of the attacks, and it is Alexa’s job to learn the truth.

Ms. Longshot has a very twisted plot that keeps readers on their toes right up to the last minute. Author Sylvie Kurtz has created a memorable heroine in Alexa, and we are always interested to see what is next for the A-list undercover operatives.
