In Deadly Desire, we get a rare treat from writer Brenda Joyce. The Bragg family has come to New York City. Rathe, Grace, Lucy, and Shoz are in the city to visit Rick. Rathe and Grace also intend to move to New York. Fans of the Bragg family will not be disappointed with their appearance.

When the studio of Sarah Channing, the fiancee of Evan Cahill, Francesca’s brother, is vandalized, she takes the case to try to find out who would do this and why. Along the way, Francesca meets Rick’s family.

Lucy Savage, Rick’s sister is being stalked and blackmailed by an old acquaintance of her husband's. When Francesca begins to ask questions, she uncovers an old murder and bitter jealousies and with the kidnapping of Lucy’s daughter, things come to a head. The stalker/kidnapper is killed, the child is safe and all should be well, but it is not.

A sort-of love triangle has formed between Francesca, Rick Bragg and Calder Hart, Rick’s half-brother. Francesca, still in love with Rick, begins to realize that her feelings toward Calder are more than friendly. When Calder announces his intentions to marry her, she becomes even more confused, especially with Rick’s wife still in the picture.

The mystery of the vandalized art studio remains unsolved, but at the end there is another incident, with a murder thrown in. By this time, Rick Bragg has realized that there is no stopping Francesca from getting involved, so he calls her and into the fray jumps our intrepid heroine.

Deadly Desire is the fourth installment in the Francesca Cahill series. Will Rick reconcile with his wife? Will Francesca and Calder actually marry? Who is behind the vandalism? Stay tuned, for the next chapter. I know I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Can you?
