Madison Reed has achieved success beyond her wildest dreams, at least as far as the outside world is concerned. She is the host of her own talk show, which has been number one in it's time slot for the past six months. She is a timeless beauty and has made enough money to do anything she wants. She is married to Wes Reed, a top news anchor, who is very handsome and considered quite a catch.

Madison is the adoring wife at her husband's side as he receives the broadcaster of the year award. Madison and Wes are the perfect couple happy, beautiful and they have the world at their feet.

Too bad it was all a lie. Madison and Wes haven't been the happy couple everyone thinks they are since Madison miscarried their child more than two years ago. They are just two people living together who put on an act for the public's benefit. They have come to lead seperate lives.

Wes is offered the top anchor position at a station in Chicago and wants to move. Madison's contract in Dallas isn't up for several more months and she doesn't want to go. They agree to go to dinner later in the evening to discuss their options. Alas, the dinner is not to be as Wes is in a near fatal accident as he stops to help a strandad moterist change a tire. Madison finds herself rushing to her dying husband's bedside and praying that he will somehow survive.

Wes Reed's best friend Zachary Holeman is at the hospital with him when Madison arrives. He promises to stay with her and help her through this difficult time. Zach explains that the woman Wes stopped to help died in the accident and her infant daughter, Manda, was slightly injured. Madison is finally allowed to see Wes and is shocked to see how badly he in injured. Wes sensing the severity of his injuries, confesses to Madison that Manda is his daughter and makes her promise to raise the child before he dies. Madison gets another surprise when she realizes the woman who died was also Wes' mistress.

Will Madison be strong enough to handle all that lies ahead of her in the weeks and months to come? Zachary promises to help her care for Manda, but he has some secrets of his own that will further turn Madison's world upside down if revealed.

Francis Ray has created a page turner of a story with I Know Who Holds Tomorrow. This was one of those stories that you start reading and time seems to stand still and before you know it you have reached the end. Ms Ray kept one mystery in the story a secret almost until the very last page and that's one of the things that kept me engrossed in the book.

Ms Ray also has Madison dealing with a great many emotions in this book and writes in such a way that the reader reader feels them right along with the character. Francis Ray has a talant for very descriptive writing not only with the characters in the book but with the setting around them as well. I could picture the surroundings in every single scene. Some authors in doing this type of writing distract from the book and bore the reader, but Ms Ray did it in such a way as to enhance the reading experience.

The secondary characters in this book are well written and did a great deal to enhance the story as well. Ms Ray even creates a second romance between two of them that was a facinating and exciting as the main story line. This was the first of Ms Ray's stories for me but I will be taking a look at her backlist to see what I have missed and keeping my eyes open for her new releases as well.
