A misunderstanding starts off this wonderful story of finding oneself and the discovery of who you are and reaching for the stars.
Mac had just moved and was looking for an apartment to rent. When he helped a woman, Jennifer, that lived across the hall from his uncle.
She thought he was there to rent out the room in the apartment but he wasn't.
This misunderstanding leads to Mac moving into that room and some discoveries of his own. Mac is a social worker and it seems
Jennifer's mother had died and she was the next of kin for her sister.
Now the problem is Jennifer hasn't seen her sister or visa versa. She left home over nine years ago and her sister is nine. The questions that Jennifer has is, can she raise her sister or not? She isn't sure, but she is willing to give it a try. Mac is there to help.
It seems Mac is a person that you can easily talk too. And she does, but Jennifer isn't sure of herself and if she can love someone. Her past has left her with scars both emotional and physically. Can
Mac handle what she has to tell him about her past?
I really enjoyed Shelter from the Storm. It gives us a glimpse of hope that finding the right person for you is out there. You just have to take some control, learn to live with the past and hope for the best. This story will pull at your heartstrings, hoping for the best outcome. This is the first story by Lara Williams that Iíve read and will be on the lookout for more.
