Felicity Speillman is having trouble with her Abra Cadabra among other things. Come see how a little zing of a magic wand makes it sing? Felicity Speillman is a dyslexic witch dealing with short-term memory, this also means that she canít remember her spells, and when she does, she messes up the word order. On one such attempt, she zaps her poor cat who ends up as a planter.

Felicity and her friends, Lila and Dex, decide to get drunk to drown their frustrations. Her little fairy friend, Lila, is a fairy who canít fly, and Dex, is a vampire who canít stand the sight of blood, while Felicity canít get a handle on magic. The drunken witch comes home and decides to practice her spell, and then passes out. She awakens, quite naked, and in bed with a perfect double of her favorite movie star, Yul Brynner, who is working his way up her naked body. She then learns that Christian the genie, is her husband. Apparently, his angry wife is the one who sent him to his bottle over eighty years before. Felicity knows that she isnít married to him and tries to reason with him, but when he offers to help her with her magic studies and she figures, why not. Only, Felicity ends up falling in love with her science project, who has problems of his own, like his former mother in law, who wants him to grant her wishes among other things.

Once again, Ms. Cassidy demonstrates her incredible imagination. Her knack at describing people and situations are really impressive. Felicity and her misfit friends are captivating and entertaining. From page one the laughs begin and last all the way to the final page. If youíre looking for some laughs, this story is the read you need.
