The year is 1945.

Claire Randall and her husband, Frank, are finally back together after being separated by the war. They were still honeymooners when the war broke-out, now seven years later and back together, they are starting to get to know each other all over again. A vacation in Inverness, Scotland seemed like the perfect place to renew their love and souls. Frank with his scholarly intellectuality and Claire with her nursing background, make for an unusual couple, but they get along smartly. While Frank is off tracing his ancestral roots, Claire will spend her private time learning about plants and herbs.

An elderly gentleman takes Claire to some old stone runes that few visitors know about. Strange goings-on have drawn Claire and Frank back to see the runes for themselves. When they spy a ritual being performed by the local women of the village, they are intrigued, almost mesmerized. It is when Claire returns to the old stone runes alone to pick a flowering plant she could not identify that her life changes in the blink of an eye. In one touch upon the cool stones, the hands of time spin backward – the past is the future - future is the past. Another man’s clandestine history will be the revealed... Read on and become cridhe nan gaisgeach.
