Julia Quinn writes another fun and exciting romance in The Duke And I.

Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, is fed up with well meaning friends and match making mammas. He’s swearing off marriage all together. But how to keep the vultures at bay? By pretending an attachment to a lovely and very available debutante. And his choice? Daphne Bridgerton.

Of course, Daphne is on the marriage mart, but wants to take her time. When Simon offers this little ‘arrangement’, Daphne agrees thinking that if the eligible men see that a Duke is attentive to her, they will be more interested. Little does either of them know, but their ‘charade’ is about to become very tangled.

Even though they have both agreed that this is only a ploy to avoid marriage, Simon can’t help it when his heart beats a little faster around Daphne. And Daphne is finding herself falling in love with her dashing Duke. But how to keep each other’s heart’s intact without the other knowing?

This is a fun and fast story. Lots of sensual tension and very steamy sex, when they finally get to it!

This is my favorite Julia Quinn book. Her hero is very strong, yet sensitive and her heroine is lovely but strong willed. They are a perfect match for each other. You’ll love this book, I promise!
