The holidays are fast approaching, and with the break between Thanksgiving and Christmas everyone should take a moment to relax and recharge their batteries with a romantic comedy. May I suggest Switched, Bothered, and Bewildered by Suzanne Macpherson?
Switched, Bothered, and Bewildered is the story of identical twins Jana Lee and Jillian. The girls haven’t been close in several years, but when Jillian almost suffers a nervous breakdown she calls her sister to join her in a spa trip to rejuvenate.
As the time at the spa runs down Jillian begins to realize that she’s not quite ready to go back and face her life in San Francisco. That includes her high powered job at Pitman Toys. How is she going to avoid this? The answer seems all too simple. She is going to get her sister Jana Lee to be her for a week, and she’ll be Jana Lee. To Jillian the plan seems infallible. The girls are identical, and after all it’s only a week. Surely they can muddle through for such a short time.
There are a few people the twins need to fool if their plan is going to be one hundred percent successful. To find out if they are successful you’ll have to read the rest of the story for yourself. I will tell you that stepping into one another’s life is not as easy as they had imagined. They never thought they’d learn so much about not only one another, but also where their own true heart's desires lie.
The characters in Switched, Bothered, and Bewildered were believable, and fun to read about. Suzanne Macpherson has just become another author whom I will be watching for in the future, and one which I will have to be looking in my personal TBR for anything I might have by her.
