The Way He Makes Me Feel by Tamara Sneed is the classic high school romance love story with the two lovers reuniting later in life.

Duncan Hillston considers himself to “the” player, he thinks he can have any woman he sets his sights on. His two best friends Patrick and Hawk are sick of hearing about his “conquests” so they issue him a challenge. If Duncan can make a woman fall in love with him before the neighborhood annual block party, then Hawk and Patrick will send him on his dream vacation to London. Duncan is confident he can do it.

In high school Claire Scott was not the cheerleader type, in fact younger then most of her peers she was often made fun of and ignored by virtually most of the boys. But that didn’t stop her from having a crush on Duncan, one night while out for drinks with her only friend from school Annabelle she is approached by Duncan.

Both Duncan and Claire had pre-conceived notations of the other and are very surprised at their blossoming new romance. What will happen when Claire finds out that there courtship is all because of a bet?

I enjoyed reading this book very much but I sometimes found it hard to believe with Claire`s huge intellect she was unable to see that Duncan was playing her at first. The only thing I didn’t like about Duncan was that he thought he was God`s gift but in the end he continued to do things that were wonderfully surprising making you fall in love with him. This was a great read from Ms.Sneed and I look forward to other works from her.
