Zoe Foster, creator of the popular Fitty Floyd, PI Comic is already having a bad enough day when she spots a woman’s body in the alley next to the Herald building. The police arrive and think Zoe is a bit crazy as there is no body to be found. Zoe is determined to find out who the woman was. Using her artistic talents she creates a sketch of the woman and has it placed on the front page of the Herald with a message asking anyone with information on the woman to call the paper.

Before the day of the paper’s release ends, she gets a call with the information she needs. The woman’s name was Lola Malone and it seems she was a night club singer at The Blue Moon, a local club that happens to be owned by Zoe’s ex-husband, Rick Vaughn.

Rick and Zoe’s marriage had been brief but each is willing to work together to attempt to solve the mystery of the missing singer. Zoe may need Rick’s help more than she realizes when she decides to create a new storyline for the comic character based on Lola and her mysterious vanishing act. Now a killer has his sights set on Zoe. As he follows her every move, he’s determined that her search will stop even if it makes her the next victim.

Christianne Heggan once again mixes a unique blend of romance and suspense as she creates another unique storyline for her fans. Fans will enjoy both the Manhattan setting, and the edge of your seat suspense that they have come to expect from this talented author.
