Ramsay Chadwick has grown accustomed to the blurred ghosts that occasionally inhabit his bed. They are but a minor inconvenience compared to the fact that his fiancée is openly flirting with another man, his best friend to be exact. But the latest ghost to visit his room is nothing like the others. For one thing, a single touch brings his ghost from a blurred image to warm flesh and blood and a great temptation to his proper self. What is he going to do with her and what is it that has brought her here?
Miss Jane Leighton is in Bath on a holiday, mostly to get away from her clingy ex-boyfriend who just won’t take ‘it’s over’ for an answer. When she registers at an historic bed and breakfast, little does she know that she will be taken back in time to the Regency era and to a web of conspiracy and mischief. Or that the touch of one man can bring all of her barriers around her heart crumbling down. Why was she brought here to this man? She must help him and play matchmaker for him and his fiancée, because no man whether in the past or present would want or love her, this has been proven again and again in all of her past relationships.
This historical will keep you glued to your seat. You will be very hard pressed to set it down, I know that I was. It’s been a long while since I have read a time travel of this type and I enjoyed every word. Ramsay and Jane are destined to be together, either in the past or present. The only problem is that she can go back to him, he can’t come to her.
Ms. Shawler writes her characters true-to-life. Our hero and heroine are truly charismatic and very believable. Jane has had many bad relationships, Ramsay is in the middle of one and can’t seem to see and believe what is before his eyes. Ms. Shawler brings these two together with such romance and passion. You won’t be disappointed!
