Baron Cartwright, a dashing widower with a rakish charm, knows all too well the power and price of temptation. When he learns that his son, who is theatrical-minded, is making a fool of himself over an actress, he wastes no time in dashing his sonís attempts to attract this actressí attentions. Cartwright plans a house party at which a play will be performed by the guests; and make for the perfect setting in which to deal with this Jezebel. But, he is in for a shock when he meets the lady in question, bringing back memories and a desire he had long forgotten all come flooding back. For the beautiful Diane Runyard is the only woman who had ever captured his heart. Once he had walked away from her, at the instance of his family, now he finds himself competing for her affections with his own son!

This is another story that I found very hard to get into and finish. I didnít care for the storyline or the characters. I found them lacking in both charisma and enjoyment. I was very disappointed in the main characters in that they fell short of the expectations that I look forward in seeing in my heroes and heroines. Although I would probably read another book by Ms. Savery, I would have to skim the chapters to see if it would be worth my while and money the next time.
