Medusa Rising is the second in the Medusa series. This time we learn more about Aleesha, the Jamaican doctor. We also learn a little bit more about the rest of the team as well. Aleesha is not only the team's doctor, but she is also a diver. In addition, she also trusts and listens to her intuition and the rest of the team has come to trust it as well.

We also see the rivalry between the Medusaís and the SEALs. I donít think that will ever stop; if it does I think they will lose a certain edge. Each team is there for what they offer in strength both physically and mentally. And the Medusaís are still creative in the ways to outsmart the SEALs in training missions.

Aleesha is having a conflict of interest between her job as a Medusa and her oath she took as a doctor. She isnít sure she can do both and live with herself. It is the killing she might have to do that is her dilemma. Could she kill someone if she had too? That is the test she is going to face when the Medusaís and the SEALs go live.

Their mission is to save the lives of people onboard a cruise ship that has been taken hostage. Can they get onboard and take back the ship without them been killed or taken as hostages? It seems they can and they do, remember these ladies are resourceful and it pushs them to their limits and beyond.

Ms. Dees has given us a great story. Not only do we get to learn more about Aleesha, how she thinks, and her conflicts and emotions, but she may have found a love as well. It shows that finding love can and will happen anywhere. But will she let her feelings for Michael get in the way of her job? Will she be able to resolve her conflict? Aleesha is another strong woman who knows what must be done in order to finish the mission. I really enjoyed the scenes between Aleesha and Bud, it shows they can find humor in any situation. I canít wait to read what Ms. Dees has in store for the other Medusa's. I know I will be picking up a copy and learning what they are doing to outsmart the SEALs and how they apply them outside of training.
