Christina Skye has given us another marvelous story in the Code Name series. Code Name: Baby has four puppies (Baby, Diesel, Sundance, and Butch) that are amazing and smarter than any dogs that Kit OíHalloran has ever seen or worked with. Baby seems to be the leader of the adventurous and mischievous puppies. She has worked with a lot, as she is a trainer.

Ms. Skye has given us what we have come to expect in this series, danger, murder, attempted murder, deceit, sexual attraction and tension, and of course, well skilled military men, who can go above and beyond the call of duty. Most of these men deal with covert operations and Wolfe is right at the top of the list. He is also sort of like the dogs, with amazing skills that are hard to believe. Of course he has implanted chips as well as certain foods and drugs he takes to help keep him in his tight physical shape.

Kit knows the puppies are special but does not realize just how special and she is on a need to know basis when Wolfe shows up. She doesnít realize the danger she is in nor the dogs as it seems someone wants them. They want the dogs and Kit preferably. Kit is one determined and strong-will lady. She handles the ranch by herself and the training of the dogs by herself as well. She also has medical problems of her own, that she is taking an experimental drug for.

The danger is in the form of one man, Cruz, a former covert op like Wolfe and was once the leader of Foxfire, the covert group. Cruz was the first and the best of the group but things went wrong and now he has escaped and wants revenge. It is up to Wolfe to keep Kit and the puppies safe.

With these special skills and talent that are running rampage through the story, with both Wolfe and the puppies, it is no wonder that Wolfe puts himself against the puppies. It is amazing to see how the puppies work as a team and outwit and outsmart Wolfe. Yes, they do work as a team, but these puppies are also very protective of Kit and Wolfe.

I really liked being able to see what Kit and Wolfe thoughts. It was interesting to say the least, the battles they waged against themselves. You canít have a covert mission to keep civilians safe if you donít have Izzy to be there to help with the electronics and of course playing doctor and hero himself. Donít miss Code Name: Baby by Ms. Skye, if you like your stories with no nonsense heroines and to die for heroes then this series is for you.
