Amy Cole wants the same freedom that her brother just takes for granted, so when the opportunity arises for a few unescorted minutes while he is away, she takes it. While on a shopping trip, she bumps into someone who mistakes her for his runaway bride, when Amy insists that she is not his wife, he of course doesn’t believe her and decides the only way to bring her home with him is to kidnap her. Now what is Amy going to do?

Sir Jason Archer is convinced that Amy is his beloved Desiree who ran away with her lover shortly after their marriage. He has been determined to find her and he finally has. The only problem is that this woman denies she is Desiree, but no two people can look so identical, right down to the pure green of her eyes. No one can have such eye color as this, she has to be Desiree. When she refuses to come with him, he devises a plan to drug and kidnap Amy and bring her to his home, there he is sure he can convince her to stay.

I loved this book. It was fun, fast and very romantic. Sure Amy is kidnapped, but it was for a good cause and when she realizes that Jason truly loves his Desiree, she even offers to help in some small way, to pretend to be her for his family. There is much mischief, mystery and romance…enough for everyone.

Ms. Mack’s characters are truly loveable and very believable. Nothing is left to the reader to wonder about and all of the characters true feelings and thoughts are there for us to see. A wonderful story!
