Jackie Ivie's second book, Tender is the Knight will leave you panting and asking, "When is her next book coming out?"

Elise, Duchess of Wynd has survived being among the nobility by carefully creating a public image of herself: of being heartless where men are concerned. Nothing effects her perfect facade and no man can break the barrier of her defenses to her heart. That is until she meets Colin MacPherson, sixth Duke of Gowan, Laird of MacGowan. Now this fierce Scottish warrior may prove a challenge to the walls surrounding her heart, but will she have the strength and fortitude to ignore him?

Colin has come to the ton in search of a wife. He wants someone biddable, yet beautiful and able to carry the weight of being the Duchess of MacGowan. When first meeting Elise, he thinks her no better than all of the other maidens that have been thrust upon him to peruse and pick from. That is, until she snubs him and gives him the cut direct. Now, that intrigues him as nothing else can. How dare she ingore him? Does she not know who he is?

But Elise is not so easily persuaded to accept Colin's attentions. In fact, the more she tries to ignore him the worse his attentions become and the more she finds herself attracted to his fierce, barbarian persona. But, Elise harbors secrets that could change the course of both of their lives. How can she accept his suit, when it could mean disaster for the both of them?

Wow...what a wild ride. Colin and Elise are so alpha...it just takes your breath away. Here we have two people, who know exactly what they want out of life, and that means they don't want each other...until fate takes a hand and doesn't give them any choice. And let me tell you, sparks fly like crazy. They fight, they cry (well, maybe not Colin...he's too macho for that), but when they finally make love...Holy Cow...the pages burn with their passion.

The storyline is fantastic, the characters are warm and fun and the attention to detail, right down to the last slipper or boot, leaves nothing for the readers to wonder about. Nothing gets in the way of losing yourself in a Jackie Ivie book.

You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it!

Happy reading!!!
