Claire Peltier was about to become a happily married woman that is until the man of her dreams decided to mess it all up.

Aiden Delacroix was a tormented man, unwed and unwanted. How was he to fulfill his duty when no woman would have him? If he did not marry and produce an heir then King John would hand Delacroix castle over to his brother-in-law. No woman wanted anything to do with Aiden or the castle that was haunted by the ghost of his former lover, a lover duty spurned. His plight seemed hopeless...until he remembered Chartres.

How could Claire marry a man with whom she felt nothing? She wanted the passion shared between herself and the man in her dreams. He haunted her dreams at night and her thoughts in the day. But those dreams seemed more like memories to Claire. In order to have a future Claire must first confront her past. With a little help from a ghostly friend, Claire found herself in Chartres.

Claire and Aiden have more in common than ghosts. Each was on a quest. To have the future they desire their past must be absolved. To do that, however, they need one another.

Aiden is in desperate need of a wife. Claire had no doubt that he was the man from her dreams, the man she had shared a life with in another time.

Time brought Claire and Aiden together again, but will time be on their side when obstacles arise to rip their love apart?

Ms. Landry has an ability to bring the medieval world to life within the pages of her newest release, The Last Bride. Claire and Aiden are a believable pair in this story of transcendental love. It is a perfect read for these cold winter nights.
