Kill Me Twice is the first book in the Bullet Catchers series by Ms. St. Claire. She starts the series off with a bang with Alex and Jazzís story. The Bullet Catchers are an elite security organization. Trained, gorgeous and to-die-for bodyguards, but donít call them bodyguards, they take offense to it.
Alex is hired to protect Jessica Adams, a TV news anchor. He isnít happy about the assignment or him being on probation with his job. He is to keep himself to himself and not get personally involved with the client. Who wouldnít want to be involved with Alex?
Jasmine Adams, Jazz, is a private investigator and Jessís identical twin. They are to be pulling the old switch sister role only something goes wrong. Jess is missing and Jazz has Alex now to content with and try to fool everyone, believing she is Jess with no prep work whatsoever.
It will take all of Alexís skills and determination to save Jazz from herself and help find Jess. There seems to be a race against time as there are forces at work against both of them, trying to pull them apart and hurt them.
Kill Me Twice is full of intrigue, mystery, and just kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Jazz and Alex have to learn to work together in order to find out what happened to Jess. The secondary characters are plentiful, each bringing something to either help or hinder them finding Jess and keeping her in the view of the public. Can they pull off the masquerade and save Jess?
Ms. St. Claire also gave us a view of the other Bullet Catchers and a little of their personalities as well. I canít wait to see whose story is next and just what trouble they will find.
