Forever In My Heart is the third installment in Ms.Goodmanís Dennehy Sisters Series.
Hurt and lost, Maggie Dennehy flees into the night on the New York City streets. Once she awakens in a very surprising situation with a very handsome man she does not remember meeting, Maggie dresses quickly realizing she needs to get home before anyone thinks something is amiss from her absence.
Weeks later Maggie is approached by her father, Jay Mac, on the subject of an arranged marriage. Maggie wants no parts of this barbaric custom, but when she meets her soon-to-be suitor she immediately realizes he is the gentlemen in question with whom she spent that very strange night so many weeks ago.
Connor Holiday is astonished to see that his soon-to-be bride is the woman he bedded weeks earlier and has been searching for ever since. Agreeing to the fact that neither of them really wants to marry, Connor and Maggie forgo the arrangement. Connor takes Maggie home to the wilds of his Colorado ranch where to his surprise he falls head over heels for her.
Jo Goodman has penned an amazingly delightful tale of two strangers who are meant to meet and fall in love. I donít normally read historicals, but this one screamed to be read. Maggie was witty, smart, and fiercely independent, and I loved that about her. Connor was a tall, darkly, handsome hunk of man, and I couldnít get enough of him. While I was reading the book, there were times when I felt like I showed up to a picnic empty-handed due to the references from the previous novels that I sometimes didnít understand. For all the readers who have been following the Dennehy Sisters, Forever In My Heart will not be a disappointment.
