This is a very short story, but it packs a bunch. Prudence loves chocolate, and the new store in the building, The Sweet Shoppe, has her salivating over the chocolate covered cherries in the window. Despite her longing for the cherries, Prudence will not indulge as she thinks she is already too big as it is. No matter how much she might want them, her willpower is stronger.
There is only one problem with that. Jonas Smith, one of her bosses, sees her longing after them and decides this might be just the key to get her to notice him as nothing has worked so far that heís tried. So he gets the special chocolate covered cherries and reschedules their meeting to later that night at his house. He only hopes that she is as infatuated with him as he is with her.
Letís just say that Pru definitely likes Jonas. She has ever since he started working with her six months earlier. Can this infatuation on both of their parts turn into something more? We canít forget that the chocolate is magical; it lets down their defenses to their wildest dreams, well, sexual anyway.
Ms. Schroeder has given us a quick story that leaves nothing out. Jonas and Pru have been lusting after each other for months, but Pru didnít think Jonas noticed her. She finds out just how much he does notice about her. They do trust each other, and it is the trust that allows them to play out a fantasy or two. The Sweet Shoppe: Tempting Prudence is the first in Ms. Schroederís The Sweet Shoppe series, and Iíll be on the lookout for more of the stories.
