Kelsy Chandler is doing a good job at juggling her career, being a single mom and trying to make time for romantic interludes with her hunky fiance'. Their romance takes some careful planning to work with his schedule as an undercover cop. Finn Bishop is ready to be Kelsy's husband and father to her son, but Kelsy must keep some secrets from Finn and make some hard decisions about their future.

Kelsy shines in her current job on a local morning TV news show, despite having to deal with a her smarmy boss, Brad. Her charm is noticed by a TV station owner in another city who promises to make her dreams of being an anchor come true. Kelsy is torn between love and career, a common dilemma for many woman in today's high pressure world.

The storyline gets off to a sizzling start with plenty of romance. Kelsy is an appealing heroine, even though there are times the reader might want to yell at her after yet another argument with Finn about their future and her need to keep secrets. Of course, there would not be as intriguing a story if Kelsy were more open and honest. Finn is the type of hero that would make any woman swoon. He is considerate, caring and all alpha male.

Some characters from Ms. Plum's earlier novel, Prince of Frogs appear in minor roles in this current one. Both books stand on their own and are filled with both family and romantic love that will warm your heart as well as tickle your funny bone. Ms. Plum is able to entertain the reader along with bringing up issues that face many women as they look for the balance needed for a fulfilling life.
