Wow! Within the first few pages of this book, the heroine has doused the hero with her chocolate malt, whacked her head on the underside of a desk (twice), been accused of sleeping with an elderly man for money, and been ruthlessly kissed until her eyes practically rolled back into her head!!! Yes, as in any great romance, Stephanie Dares and Erik Chambers are about as mis-matched as you can possibly get – and they’re just perfect for each other.

This is a very funny, lighthearted romance that is guaranteed to leave you laughing! Corporate genius Erik Chambers visits his family friend, Sir Archibald Chesterson, and meets Sir’s ward, Stephanie (no, not his girlfriend as Erik erroneously assumed). Tall, blonde and incredibly beautiful, Stephanie also loves fishing, and by the time they’ve cast their lures, Erik is completely hooked. Even when Steph dumps him into the creek.

Ms. Davidson has managed to produce a couple who are a constant delight – their dialogue never lets up – each has a quick comeback or a surprise move ready – and the speed of their interactions leaves the reader dizzy!! Tumbling headfirst into love, neither will give an inch – never have a hero and heroine fought so valiantly against such a dynamic passion! It’s tremendous fun!

There is also a very tidy plot taking place that is directly relevant to Stephanie, Erik and the other small cast of characters, but I’m not going to discuss it any further because it would be a real shame to spoil it for anyone who is wise enough to download this eBook. It is sufficient to say that I was saddened to reach the end of this tale – I felt I had come to know Stephanie and Erik and I really liked them both! The only drawback I can see is that you’ll have to read this on your lunch hour – if you try to read any of it during a workday, your colleagues are going to want to know why you are doubled up with laughter over your keyboard!!
