Kira is getting married and she couldn’t care less. Her mother is more excited about it than she is and her wedding planner is just...exciting! Six months ago she was in some type of accident in which she lost her memory and her father. What will it take for her to get her memory back and save the man she loves, her husband? The Bride Wore a .44 by Maggie Shayne is a terrific story of a woman fighting to get her old life back.

Boo is a vampire slayer who rescues Eddie Batley from a fate worse than death only to have him want to tag along and “help” her slay vampires. She allows him to accompany her to a meeting about another slaying where she learns some very disturbing news. What happens next? The Incredible Misadventures of Boo and The Boy Blunder by MaryJanice Davidson is an absolutely hysterical story set in Betsy’s realm.

Alina, a Warfem, and Baird, a Warlord, had a history but something happened that caused her to break things off. Twenty years later, they meet up again with Baird saving Alina’s life. Alina has way too many secrets, most of them tied to her employer, and he is out to discover every single one of them. What happens once all the secrets are out in the open? In Warfem, Angela Knight gives us a fantastic story of a love that never died and another look at those yummy Warlords!

Lauren is nothing but an empty-headed supermodel...or is she? She’s waiting for her backup to get in touch with her and is surprised to see that it’s Jake, a friend of her sister’s boyfriend. Now they have to stop a coup on the island in order to keep peace and to preserve all of the CIA’s work, but just who do they have to stop? Jacey Ford’s Painkillers is a great look at a woman who is feisty but grows even feistier in order to do the job they thought she couldn’t do!

Kick @$$ is a fabulous anthology of my favorite type of heroine; feisty women who aren’t afraid to go after what they want or believe in, no matter the obstacles in their way. I just can’t recommend this book highly enough! I enjoyed it immensely!
