After a 15 year absence, Straif Blackthorn is back in Druida City, ready to claim his heritage. A genetic weakness rendered him and his family vulnerable to a virus, and he is the last of his line … or at least, that is what he thought … Now, not only does he have to find a cure to insure the future of his lineage, but also find his Heart Mate, but things are not going to be that easy.

By recommendation of Drina, his Fam, Straif hires Interior Designer Mitchella Clover to work on the restoration of the abandoned T’Blackthorn Residence. Their mutual attraction is immediate, but there are insurmountable obstacles that will make a relationship between them impossible, however, there is little they can do to resist that attraction. Mitchella realizes that she is bound for heartbreak, but she has never been the sort to run away from the consequences of her own actions, and decides to go with her heart… accepting ALL of the consequences of working close to Straif.

Have you ever read a series that only keeps getting better and better with each new installment? That when you think it is unlikely that the author can do better than she did in the previous books, she goes and hits you, yet again, with an outstanding follow-up story. Well, Heart Choice belongs to that category of books. After reading Heart Duel last year, I figured that it would be difficult for Ms. Owens to match what I considered, at that time, to be my favorite book of the series … and yet, here I am, gushing over Heart Choice. Once again, we are treated to an absolutely deliciously brooding Alpha hero and an intelligent and sympathetic heroine to match. You can’t help but feel for these beautifully written characters. The secondary cast of characters is equally engaging, and we get to revisit with beloved characters from the previous books in the series, which gives this novel an extra layer of appeal. And all this without mentioning that I am totally fascinated with the world of Celta, which Ms. Owens manages to develop a little bit further with each installment of the series. Heart Choice is a page turner in the truest sense and it will keep you riveted from beginning to end. Although this book is part of a series, it can most definitely be read as a stand alone, but I can assure you that if this is the first book in the series you ever read, you will want to catch up with the rest of the titles already available in the series.
