Zoe Tarleton has made it big in the entertainment world, but her looks and body have stereotyped her and she is not considered for "serious" roles. Zoe has her heart set on a role as a scientist. In order to learn how to be a nerd, and thus get the part, Zoe enlists the help of her attorney, Flynn Granger. Flynn has nerd written all over him with his attitude toward life and lack of fashion sense.

Zoe and Flynn sneak off to a hideaway in California that is known as "Bigfoot Country". They rehearse some pretty steamy scenes and try to stay incognito, but suddenly several "accidents" occur that leave Zoe and Flynn more than a little nervous. Has Flynn's long distance girlfriend gotten wind of their all too real rehearsals and decided to retaliate or is there a crazed fan or a real Bigfoot?

The sexual tension built between Flynn and Zoe is perfect and makes the tantalizing love scenes even more satisfying. Zoe and Flynn are the main focus of the plot and their characters are very well developed. Flynn is a wonderful beta hero, who must deal with his life after being rather complacent in the past. Zoe is more than a pretty face and shows spunk and courage in going after what she wants.

Gone With the Nerd is another enticing entry in Ms. Thompson's Nerd series. It is pure reading pleasure and the perfect "beach read". Be sure to pack it in your vacation tote bag!
