Lydia Quess has an unusual occupation. Her friend Sylvie, a sex therapist, got her involved in the call girl lifestyle. She enjoyed it and the money was good. Everything was going along fine in her life, until the night one of her clients meets his maker in her bed.
That night changes her entire life, as she becomes not only a suspect to the police department, but they question and investigate those she comes into contact with. As she and her roommate begin to find other clues pointing in their direction, they decide to take matters into their own hands and begin investiagating the murder themselves.
This was a mystery, there was no romance involved or implied. So if you strictly read romance, this is probably not for you. Her profession doesn’t include falling in love. Aside from that, this book reads very quickly.
There are always several things going on to keep the reader's attention, yet you do not find yourself lost in settings or plot. Full of witty, caustic remarks and repertoire, Sex, A Mystery is sure to bring many smiles to your face! I for one sincerely hope we see more of Lydia Quess, and who knows maybe someday she will find herself head over heels.
