Julia Quinn brings us another fun tale from the Bridgerton family. This time its Hyacinth’s turn to find love and happiness, with a little mischief along the way!

Gareth St. Clair is in a bit of a pickle. He is on a mission at the bequest of his family. He has possession of an old family diary that may or may not hold the key to secrets in his family’s past and may hold the key to his future. The only problem is that it is written in Italian, and he can’t read a word of it. But who can he trust with such valuable information that the diary may contain and who can he possibly find that can even read Italian?

Hyacinth Bridgerton is smart, outspoken and according to Gareth, probably best taken in small doses. To Hyacinth, Gareth’s every word is an unspoken challenge and when he tells her about his diary, she offers to translate the thing, even though her Italian is slightly less than perfect…ok…even less than slightly, but she can remember a few things that her governess taught her.

As they both delve into the mysterious diary they discover that the answers they seek are not in the diary but in each other and as far as that goes, nothing is simple or as complicated as the passion and love they find in each other.

You can’t help but love the Bridgerton family. Ms. Quinn has brought tale after tale of each member of the brood and none of them have fallen short of perfection! Hyacinth is a very proud woman who enjoys her station among the ton and sees no reason to change her habits and marry...although she would love to one day. Gareth is an alpha male with a soft side that you can’t help but love. He and Hyacinth are meant for each other and you learn that as you read how they discover secrets and uncover mysteries within the diary. With a colorful cast of secondary characters and the return of some of your favorite Bridgerton siblings, this is sure to be a favorite for your summer reading.
