Lord Lonsdale had accused Dante of being, “Nothing but a gypsy”, at least that’s what was repeated at the reading of his grandfather’s will. To the astonishment of the ton, the late marquis had disinherited the petulant lord, leaving his vast estate to the darkly, handsome Dante a Romany horse trader. Acres of land, fabulous wealth, and rich manor houses – all these were his for the taking, provided Dante would also take the bride his grandfather had specified.

Lady Esme Harcourt accused Dante of stealing a kiss after sweeping her into his arms at a county fair, awakening a desire in her that she never dreamed existed. Though her hand might be promised to the new Marquis of Alston, she swore she would never agree to wed a man whose birth put him so far beneath her. But no matter how she protested against Dante as her husband, her heart had already accepted the free-spirited Rom as her wild gypsy lover.

Esme and Dante have many obstacles that they must climb, one being themselves. They are both stubborn and independent people who as thrown together because of a dead man's will. If Dante doesn’t do as the will demands, he will lose everything, if Esme doesn’t do as her heart demands, she will lose the only man she could ever love.

Ms. Mason beings us another top-rated romance with tons of action, adventure and romance. The two characters are perfect for each other, after a fashion and the passion and love that they find within each other fairly burn the pages. The plot is very believable, the setting stunning and the secondary characters add only fun and spice to an already fantastic story.
