Willow Foster is an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maine. For the past eighteen months, since the day she woke up in his bed and he turned into a “caveman” or a “troglodyte” as she calls him, she’s had a running feud with Duncan Ross. Due to incidents in her past, she wants nothing to do with love and all the messy complications that go along with it! Duncan is a real complication that she doesn’t need.

Willow is in town for the weekend to visit with her sister and to meet with an old friend about a situation that requires immediate attention. Something is in the waters off the coast of Maine that’s poisoning the lobsters and crabs, the area fishermen’s livelihood. Willow is appalled at the situation she’s been presented and vows to bring the perpetrators to justice, no matter what! However first she must discover what’s in the water and how it’s getting there and find the people responsible!

Duncan Ross has been in love with Willow since their first kiss two years ago. He even settled in Puffin Harbor to be near Willow. He’s a very patient man but even patient men have their limits. Duncan is immediately suspicious when he discovers that the “old friend” is actually an old boyfriend of Willow’s, who is married but separated from his wife. Once he discovers the reason for their meeting, he becomes very concerned for Willow.

The Dangerous Protector by Janet Chapman is another winner by this talented author. Willow is feisty as hell and Duncan is fantastic – loving, protective, has a sense of humor and a sense of honor and he’s very Alpha! We also get to sneak a peek at Rachel, Kee and the rest of the crew from The Seductive Imposter, the first book in this series. Ms. Chapman, please tell us we’ll see more of this fascinating group of people! Do yourself a favor – pick up this book ASAP!! You won’t regret it!
