The Lord Of The High Lodesome, Reese Talbot decides it is time to visit the Flying Eagle ranch. When he arrives on his property Kit Bonner tells him he is on private property. She has no clue that this is the new English baron who decided it is time to come home. Reese feels very attracted to Kit but she is having no part of it. Kit has walls built around herself so no one can hurt her and Reese just cannot break them down. Kitís heart is telling her one thing but her head is saying NO. Finally Reese says has had enough. Does Reese come back and will Kit realize he is not like any of the other owners? What does Reese say when he finds out why she responds the way she does to things?

Heart Of Stone is what Brock Canfield is made of. That is how everyone at the New Hampshire Inn sees him. Perry Hall is the manager and his sister Stephanie is the accountant. When Brock calls to say he will arrive this afternoon Stephanie must meet him in Perry's place. Perry warns Stephanie that Brock is someone she should want to get involved with. Stephanie dreams of the white picket fence, while Brock is always on the road, with a different woman every time. Stephanie hears what Perry is saying but her heart, well, that is a different story. Even after she admits her love for him, Brock says he has no time for that. He hurts her, in the guise of protecting her from future heartache. Is it then he realizes his love for her? What will it take for him to find his way home? For home is where your love is!

I really enjoyed Happy Holiday by Janet Dailey. I am glad that I was able to sit and enjoy each story has it unfolded. This is a keeper for me!
