Skylar Connelly came to Coral Key to find out what happened to her sister Maia. She didnít believe the official story, her sister took off with some guy and no one knew where she was.
Skylar was hired by Martin Escalle to teach his nephew Chris to swim. Chris has been terrified of the water since his father drowned. Mr. Escalle is a wealthy, powerful man in Coral Key. Her sister also worked for Mr. Escalle.
Skylar meets Luke White, the head of security for Casa del Mar, Marinís estate. Luke is somewhat like a twelve year old boy, he has somewhat of a bad boy attitude. Skylar cannot stand being around him, he makes her sick. She is just there to investigate her sister's disappearance, not to get involved with Luke. When Skylar starts nosing around the estate, she finds a picture of her sister in Coleís room. Cole is Martinís right hand man.
Luke White does not like the fact that Skylar is at Casa del Mar. He feels she is in danger, tries to tell her to go home she does not belong here. He canít tell her why, that would reveal his true purpose of being on Martinís yacht, Calypso, all the time.
People tell Skylar donít trust Luke, donít trust Cole. Watch yourself, it's not safe, but she does not listen to them. When someone takes a shot at her while she is sight seeing, she knows she is on the right track. She has feelings there is something illegal happening at the estate.
Put your feet up and indulge yourself in this book, you will not be disappointed. There are twists and turns in Calypsoís Secrets, it will keep the reader guessing up to the end. There are some pretty intense love scenes between Skylar and Luke, which made this middle-aged reviewer blush, which in my book, thatís a good thing!
